“-Large police presence and frequent intimidation, surrounding, harassment and detaining of individuals

-Police often waited until dark and most people had left to repress and target the Palestinians at the camp

-People were beaten and pepper sprayed on a Sunday afternoon with children present

-Certain chants, songs, sentences were forbidden and criminalised such as ‘Fuck You ‘insert name of any individual’ ‘

Police restricted the languages that protestors could express their political opinions in. Only English and German were allowed and police used the presence of Arabic and other languages in speeches, songs, announcements, chants and music to escalate their repression

-People were detained for making the call to prayer in Arabic and Muslims praying were surrounded, harassed, and filmed by the police

-Several days into the camp, police arranged for an Arabic translator working to be present from 6pm to 10pm which meant Arabic was allowed to be spoken. Mis-translations and misunderstanding between the police led to individuals being detained.

An Irish language  event at the camp was shut down, Irish flags removed and participants harassed and followed by the police for hours

-Shabbat blessing was surrounded, harassed and filmed by police due to prayers in Hebrew

-On one occasion campers were forced to stand next to the tents at midnight to be counted

-Police threatened to evict empty tents and required campers to move all of the tents once a day

-Police introduced several absurd bans for example taking issue with a sofa being present at the camp, tables, chairs, hanging things in trees, red triangles, people playing football, people praying, large tents and pavillions being put up
