Echoing the call of Gaza’s students, Students in Berlin called for a  week of disruption of the tranquil complicity of academic and non-academic institutions. Students reminded their universities and other German institutions that until we get justice, they will get no peace.

As of today, we are nearing eight months of genocide in Gaza perpetrated by Israel and backed by the German government. The Israeli military has devastated Gaza to such an extent that counting the dead and martyred is now impossible. Palestinians in Gaza are exposed to unspakable crimes. Despite the ICJ order to halt its Rafah offensive, Israel continues its relentless bombing. Just this Sunday night, another 45 Palestinians seeking shelter in Rafah were slaughtered and burned alive. Yet, the German government remains unwavering in its inhumane support for (and arming of) Israel, while cracking down on protests that dare to oppose the genocide.

28.05 RIOTS FOR RAFAH

Hermannplatz to Sonnenallee to Karl-Marx-Str is on fire for Rafah

Intense reports of racist police brutality include: Police violently targeting Palestinian youth, police pushing people into doorways and beating them up, police arresting and beating up someone who was just sitting to the point that their face is covered in blood, three police beating up someone lying on the ground who is not resisting. Police officers with numbers BE32210 and BE32214 are responsible for this brutal attack on Palestinian youth.

 

27.05 SPONTANEOUS FLASH MOBS FOR RAFAH

At the end of the Stop the Massacre in Rafah demo at Alexanderplatz around 10pm,  spontaneous demonstrations took place on the underground train and stations between Alexanderplatz and Sonnenallee. Flash mobs protesting the slaughter in Rafah gathered on Sonnenallee and there was an extremely high number of police present in the neighborhood.
